The Department of Immunology and Allergy specializes in diagnosing and treating allergic conditions of all kinds, such as immunodeficiency diseases and determining their severity in patients, which are caused by the frequent use of antibiotics or the use of cortisone. The department also treats allergic diseases such as skin allergies or allergies against some types of food. The treatment provided by the Department of Immunology and Allergy includes antihistamines and a system to avoid foods that cause allergies. In severe cases, the department can perform a bone marrow transplant.
